An urgent recall of clothing sold on a popular e-commerce platform is now underway due to health concerns.
According to Ireland’s Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), a safety issue has been identified with a children's fancy dress costume. The ‘yellow princess dress’ was sold by FATIN Kids on TEMU.
The CCPC confirmed in a notice that the risk reported is chemical. This recall has been issued due to excessive migration of chromium from the textile label.
Chromium is a sensitising substance and may cause adverse health effects in children.

The TEMU Product ID is 601100965063769 and the identification number, which is accessible on the package, is BEIER03.
There are approximately 26 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.
The CCPC has advised customers to stop using the product immediately and keep it out of the reach of children.
TEMU has contacted affected consumers regarding this recall on behalf of the seller and assisted them with the refund process.
